We understand that you may have questions before joining one of our British Sign Language courses or workshops. Our FAQ page is here to provide clear answers to some of the most common queries about our classes, online learning, bookings and course access.
Our courses are suitable for a wide range of learners, from complete beginners through to those looking to progress further with British Sign Language. We offer an Introduction course, Level 1, Level 2 and workshops, so there is something to suit different stages of learning.
All of our classes are delivered live online through group video calls. This means you can learn from the comfort of your own home in a supportive and interactive environment, without needing to travel.
No previous experience is needed for our Introduction course. If you are booking onto Level 1 or Level 2, you should already have the relevant knowledge or previous learning in place before joining.
Our non-qualification option allows you to attend the course and develop your skills without taking the formal exams. The qualification option includes the relevant assessment fees, allowing you to work towards a recognised Signature qualification.
Our workshops are booked as one workshop per booking and each session lasts for 3 hours. They are designed to provide focused, interactive learning in a supportive setting.
Once you have booked, the email address used during checkout will be used to access your online portal. Inside the portal, you will find helpful documents, videos, important course information, and class recordings to help you recap on your lessons.
Yes. Class recordings are made available in your online portal so you can revisit lessons in your own time, refresh your understanding, and go back over key parts of the session whenever needed.
You can log into your account using the email address you used when placing your order. If you have already created your account password, simply use those details on the login page to access your portal and course information.
On the login page, click the Lost your password? link. Enter the email address used when you booked, and WooCommerce will send you a password reset email so you can create a new password and regain access to your account.
First, check your junk or spam folder. If it is not there, make sure you entered the same email address used during checkout. If you still have not received it, please contact us and we will be happy to help.
Yes. You can change your email address when you log into your account by updating your account details. If you need any help with this, please feel free to contact us.
Yes. Your account area allows you to view your previous orders, booking details and account information, making it easy to keep track of the courses or workshops you have purchased.
Level 2 includes guided learning hours and independent study. Across the full qualification, learners should expect around 150 hours of learning and practice in total.
The full Level 2 qualification is made up of three units covering receptive, productive and conversational skills. Each unit is assessed separately by Signature, with support from your tutor throughout the course.
